Our production “The Wreck Of The Shakespeare” was performed on Friday March 31st and Saturday April 1st to sellout audiences. Thank you to all who came to see us.
Our production this year received generous funding from the St Andrew’s Op Shop right here in Waiuku which, over the years, has been a principal source of costumes for our productions! Thank you for this vote of confidence in what we do with young people in this community.
Junior, Intermediate, and Senior training workshops began on 9th March and finished on 17th March. We worked with record numbers of children and young people aged 4 right through to 17.
Once again our production took place over a two week intensive preparation period, culminating in three sellout performances of this two-hour play. 22 children and young people had character roles with lines, and another four had their first experience of the stage with support roles. They were telling a convoluted story crossing three Shakespeare plays and a New York detective.
You had to be there.
